5月28日 Evony ~ A Stragety MMOSo, I clicked on the link "Civony Free Forever" about two-three weeks ago and found myself a part of a beta-testing community for a new strategy MMO. Since then, they've changed the name to "Evony"; and while it is still "Free Forever" there are game coins you can purchase to "enhance your gaming experience". To date, I have purchased nothing. Not because I don't want to support the game—I play it enough that supporting it should be something I'm willing to do—but because it touts the "free forever" bit so boldy. IMO, it is bad marketing, so I refrain from donation. Plus, the thing may be out of beta testing; but they are still having server issues, bug problems, and making game modifications that I don't necessarily agree with.
So how is it? Well, it's okay, but not great. But then, it's free... and you know what they say: You get what you pay for.
4月4日 Musings of an Eclectic Mind It seems to me that automation has gone too far. Why would anyone, looking at Musings of an Eclectic Mind, think it a space that warrants termination? Even if there was an 'offensive' bit of artwork, it is obvious that it was by error. There is nothing written or shared that would indicate ill-intent. It is a shame when common sense is replaced by bots. Worse yet, when the bots are made from flesh and bone. 2月17日 Just Finished Fallout 3I just completed my second stint on Fallout 3 and am taking time off from FPS RPGs. To keep myself entertained, I've been playing Imperium Romanum and The Sims 2--depending upon my mood. Imperium Romanum has bad reviews--and I agree with much of what is said--but it's like when you develop a weird affection for what you know is a really crap film... I have a weird affection for this game. Of course, I didn't buy it, it was a gift--and I imagine it's 'freebie' status helps nuture my forgiving attitude. |
